Description:
The project involved the alteration and refurbishment works to the second floor of an occupied commercial building.
The full scope of works included downtakings and removal of finishes, fittings, etc; structural alterations and construction of new partition walls; new doors and renovation to existing doors, repairs to existing windows, decoration, provision of new toilet facilities for the disabled including the upgrading of all services including water, power, lighting, ventilation, heating, communication and fire alarm installations.
As the remainder of the building was in use throughout the construction period, extensive planning was necessary to ensure minimum disruption to the other organisations within the building and the safety of building users.
