Description:
This was a fast track project, carried out over the Easter break, to find the location of water penetration in the existing basement of the school.
The works comprised the strip out of the existing finishes on one elevation of the basement including classrooms and the boys and girls toilets such that inspection of the structure could be carried out. Once the location of the water penetration was identified, joints were sealed, floors and walls waterproofed and ducting installed to carry any future water penetration into the drainage system.
On completion of waterproofing the walls were re-lined in plasterboard, tiled and decorated, new floor finishes laid and sanitary ware and toilet cubicles re-installed, all services were re-instated.
