Description:

The works to the main entrance of the Infirmary required the removal of the existing entrance whilst maintaining round the clock access for pedestrian and disabled patients.

The works comprised the removal of existing automatic sliding doors and the replacement with automatic revolving doors, removal and reinstatement of curtain walling, refurbishment of canopy, provision of new floor coverings throughout the internal area of the entrance, granite paving externally complete with new lighting, access and security controls.

The works were carried out over a 10 week period and required close liaison with the client to ensure disruption to patients and the public was kept to a minimum.
As an addition to our contract works, we were instructed to install temporary mass concrete foundations, divert and provide connections to main services and provide ramp access for a mobile theatre unit situated in the courtyard of the campus.

These additional works were carried out over a two week period to facilitate the theatre installation to meet a critical date for the client.
