How we do it

Focused on Health and Safety

At Redpath, health and safety is fundamental to how we plan, manage and deliver every project. Protecting our employees, clients, building users, supply chain partners and the wider public is our highest priority — particularly within occupied and live operational environments where careful coordination and risk management are essential.

We believe a safe project is a well-managed project. Our approach combines robust planning, proactive communication and strong site leadership to ensure works are delivered safely, responsibly and with minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.

From pre-construction through to completion, our teams are fully trained, briefed and supported to maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and wellbeing. We work closely with clients, consultants and stakeholders to identify risks early, implement effective control measures and maintain safe, secure and professionally managed sites at all times.

Continuous improvement is central to our culture. We regularly review performance, audit our procedures and monitor changes in legislation and industry best practice to ensure our standards continue to evolve and improve.
Our Health & Safety Management System is accredited to ISO 45001:2018, demonstrating our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of occupational health and safety management.

Focused on Quality

Delivering quality is central to our approach and embedded throughout every stage of our projects - from pre-construction through to final handover. We understand our clients expect not only high standards of workmanship, but confidence that projects are delivered in full compliance with specifications, regulations and industry best practice.

Our Quality Management System provides a structured framework for consistency, continuous improvement and a right-first-time approach to delivery. Through rigorous inspection, detailed coordination and proactive management, we maintain high standards across all aspects of construction.

Quality assurance is supported by experienced technical teams, strong site leadership and close collaboration with consultants, subcontractors and client representatives - particularly on complex refurbishment, fit out and live environment projects.

Digital technology also supports our quality processes. Using Fieldwire software, we record and manage real-time inspections and technical information through location-tagged photographic reporting linked directly to construction drawings and programme activities. This improves communication, provides transparency and enables efficient resolution of technical queries.

Our Quality Management System is accredited to ISO 9001:2015 and reflects our commitment to compliance, continuous improvement and exceptional project delivery.

Focused on Sustainability

Sustainability is embedded within how we design, procure and deliver our projects. As a responsible contractor, we recognise the important role the construction industry plays in supporting the transition to a lower carbon, more resource-efficient built environment.

Across refurbishment, fit out and construction projects, we work closely with clients, consultants and supply chain partners to identify practical and measurable opportunities to reduce environmental impact, improve operational performance and support long-term building sustainability.

Through careful planning and responsible procurement, we seek to minimise waste, reduce energy consumption and specify sustainable, durable and low-carbon materials aligned with project objectives and lifecycle performance.

We are committed to responsible construction practices that support environmental protection, social value and local economic benefit. This includes:

  • Supporting low-carbon and energy-efficient design solutions
  • Promoting circular economy principles and responsible material selection
  • Reducing construction waste and increasing reuse and recycling
  • Working with ethical, sustainable and locally based suppliers where possible
  • Minimising transport and site-related emissions
  • Protecting the wellbeing of our staff, suppliers and communities
  • Delivering projects that support long-term operational efficiency and building performance

We continue to develop our sustainability strategy in line with evolving industry standards, environmental legislation and Net Zero objectives, with a commitment to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2045.

Our Environmental Management System is accredited to ISO 14001:2015, supporting a consistent and measurable approach to environmental management and continuous improvement.
