Baljaffray Shopping Centre, Bearsden

This project consisted of landlord enabling works to a retail unit for incoming tenant, Sainsbury’s.

The internal works comprised strip out of the entire unit, including removal of suspended ceilings, internal partitions, entrance lobby, internal doors, wall and floor finishes, fixtures and fittings, sanitaryware, drainage accessories, and all remaining mechanical and electrical equipment. Following the removal works, repairs were required to the concrete floor slab and blockwork walls.

Repair works were also required to the building envelope which included the removal and replacement of the damaged wall / soffit cladding, metal roof sheeting, roof slates, roof boundary elements, rooflights, external doors, roller shutters, soffit light fittings and rainwater goods. Also, the removal of redundant services, infilling holes and openings in existing render, cleaning services and decoration.

External works to the car park and service yard / access road included patch repairs to the existing tarmac surface, resurfacing the main entrance footpath, reinstating all white lining, repairs to the boundary walls, removing existing site furniture, and repairs to existing gullies.

Shopping centre was fully operational during our works.
