Dating back 200 years, Dollar Academy is a grand neoclassical design by top Scottish Architect William Playfair.
The objective of this project was to modernise various communal areas within the building, namely, the library, circulation areas and the main entrance.
The reception area and main corridor required structural alterations and were refurbished to provide new flooring, ceilings, lighting and finishes throughout, as well as creating a new locker area.
Works to the library included the installation of new lighting and complete re-decoration.
The works were carried out and completed during the school summer break to ensure no disruption to the pupils or staff.
