This project comprises the conversion of a former commercial office building into a mixture of one and two bed serviced apartments.
The existing office space, spread over five floors, was stripped back to a shell before carrying out structural alterations and erecting partitions to suit the layout for 24 apartments. The curtain walling and windows were altered to improve insulation and the apartments fitted out to a high standard for modern living.
The existing stair was refurbished, the lift shaft altered and a new lift car installed. The ground floor has been refurbished to create a shell for retail/office space. The increase in the power requirements for the building meant a substation was required which was constructed externally.
Significant variations were instructed in connection with finishes to suit occupier requirements and these were incorporated into the programme with minimum disruption.
